Hi,

Sub:- Would like everybody to know never use Overdraft facility at ICICI bank

I had a salary a/c 004701539253 and a linked overdraft facility over it. I recvd a letter on 1st nov that i need to close this OD a/c by 15th. I had taken 78000 from that a/c. I deposited 38000 on that a/c and i planned to deposit rest amount from salary recvd on 1st dec. But a lien was put on my a/c the same day and rest 40, 000 was inaccessible to me. i assumed that had been deposited to my od a/c, but that is not the case. My savings a/c is liened and od a.c statement every month shows late fees and interest. When amount has been blocked in my savings a/c how can i deposit money in od a/c. Does the bank assume that if have to pay 40000 to bank then i need to have 80000 in my a/c. half of it will be liened and remaining will be used to close the a/c. I talked to customer care and went to gurgaon branch also. They keep telling me that other one will handle the issue. I sincerely feel this is ungenuine. This incident has given me immense mental stress. I will never ever again like to have any relationship with this bank. I am working as s/w engg at reliance industries ltd. I have told this incident to my HR and asking them to advise employees to open their salary a/c in some honest bank.
