Dear Mr Sampat
This is to bring to your further attention that why we decided to cancel our insurance policy.
We bought this policy in good faith in October At the time of getting this policy we had clearly stated that we would like to make our monthly payment through our personal checks as we did not wanted to get billed to our credit card as it may incur financial charges for our monthly payments but your sales associate assured us that even though we pay through our credit card we want get charged financial charges for the amount paid as monthly payment of our insurance. Beliving his word we authorised him to bill monthly payment on our credit card.
When we recived our monthly credit card statment we noticed financial charges for our monthly insurance payment. We brought to the attention of your bank representative in the month of November at that time we were told the stated amount would get creditted but to our surprise same thing got repeated in following month. We once again called your customer service and explained the situation and they said we have put your request and its in the process would get posted in your account in 30 days. This been going on for the past 5 months.
When we spoke last time (April 20th) I was informed by your associate that since in the begining we had authorised to charge our card so now we cannot change mode of monthly payment to pay by check. I strongly feel though it was not our mistake we had to go through all this hassale and company is not accepting the error occured by its offical. This left me with no option but to cancel my policy as i was refused to change my mode of payment for my monthly insurance dues.
I demand to credit our account for the amount charge as financial charges towards EMI for the monthly insurance and its service charge for the period which my EMI was charged on my card. The interest amount charged till April is Rs 538.13 and service charge amount is Rs..66.51
If this matter does not get resolve then I will be left with no option other then refering this matter to CONSUMER COMPLAINTS AGENCY
Hope you will do the needfull and inform me the same at the earliest.
