Drum rotating with loud noice while on spinnig

I have puchsed ELENA washing Machine during 2006. Now the machine iis producing loud noice on spinning. service person attended and informed that the drum is to be replaced as it went out of order due to the use of HENKO detergent which I cannot believe . is there any relation between the detergent and the drum rotating with noice. the drum must have been removed from the belt or fittings which he is not accepting and demanding Rs2500/- for the replacement of the drum. Kindly intimate what is actual technical problem, is there is any relation between the detergent and the drum, it is to be replaced as suggested by the service person
