Indian Passport through the Department of PostsI
Non delivery

Dear Sir/Madam,

My wife has applied for an Indian Passport through the Department of Posts at Head Post Office, Koraput (Orissa) Speed Post Service on 13.09.2008 which was dispatched vide Speed Post Service receipt no- EE312520823IN. For several months, we did not get any report of the status of the passport. From a verbal enquiry from Regional Passport Office, Bhubaneswar it has been told to us that the same speed post is not delivered to the passport office. On enquiry from Post Office, we have been told that the speed post was delivered to passport office on 16/09. When an enquiry has been registered under RTI act with passport office we have been told that the application is not delivered by speed post to passport office. Please guide us on future course of action on this.
