Updation of wating list in the trains

Sir, by virtue of me being in the Ind army i do often travell by train but invariably our moves are not so well planned in time hence invariably the tickets are procured only few days before boarding. its however been seen the waiting list is rarely or not at all updated in the various sites/ mobile / tele checking of pnr status. this is a real cause of agony...

secondly its believed that too much of tatkaal quota are impenging on getting regular tickets

i shall feel greatfull if these issues are addressed.
