Dirty train compartments

Recently I had to travel by 6613 Rajkot-Coimabatore express from Ahemedabad to Salem. The AC 2 Tier bogie was infested with cock roaches which were crawling all around. The curtains were so dirty that they were smelling. The bed linen and blanket supplied by the attendent were so dirty and torn that one could risk infection by using them. No hand towels were supplied. For the price of an AC ticket one could travel by air these days. Why should any body travel by IR if this is their attitude to customers. It is high time that private trains are run on IR tracks and Railways be responsible only for the maintainance of infrastructure and not passenger service.
