Theft of luggage from hatia howrah express

this is to inform u espicially miss mamta banerjee how unsafe it is to travel on railways in her state.

my wife was travellind on 17.7.2010 on hatia howrah at night her whole suitcase which was secured with chain was cut and stolen, it contained her gifted precious ornaments, watch, gold chain and other valuble items.

when we went to lodge a complain in howrah the attidude of th railway police was was so disheartining as to say it nor worth, once gone lost for ever

this incidence has shattered my wife and she dosent want to travel by train anymore.

if there is any law an order will any body able to something to retrive the lost articles .complaint noGRPS-GDE 1301. is there any system where we can get any sort of compensation by railways? it might be too much to ask as so mamy people loose their life in railways accident and no body is bothered
