Dear Sir,
I had been given an offer on my mobile phone by an executive of India Today Book Club worth Rs. 19, 498/- on 3rd April, for a 3G mobile phone including a free DELL laptop, a free Reebok watch and a free holiday voucher (Booking ID No. 440026944). I accepted the offer that very moment and the amount was deducted from my credit card account on 5th April. However, I never received the offered items even after three months, though the committed delivery period was a maiximum of 4 weeks. I had started enquiring about the status of the delivery of the items on their customer care No. 011-40502424 from 5th April, itself. However, I was not told anything clearly. After three months, I am told that the DELL laptop which was offered free, was wrongly committed and that it can't be provided. In such case, I asked them to cancel my order and refund my money, whereupon I was told that it would take one more month to refund the money. I called them after a month and I was told that all formalities are complete and the money would be refunded to my credit card account within 10 days. One month has passed after this conversation and I am still waiting for my money to be refunded.
Kindly help me in getting my money back. It has been really a nightmare dealing with India Today Book Club. The last complaint No. given to me by their customer care dept. was 507509.
Thanks,
Ms. Alips
