Hello,
I had recieved a call from India Today Book Club on 21st April. The caller was a lady (I do not remember the name) and she told me that I have won a cash prize of Rs.1 lac based on my previous transactions with India Today. In order to get the cheque for this 1 lac Rs, she had told me that I have to pay Rs.15, 000 as a tax to the Govt. She had told me that I can do it by buying one of the product from below three options. The products offered were Samsung Superb Mobile S5560, Samsung Omnia Touch screen mobile and an X-box. That time I had bought Samsung Omnia Mobile for Rs.14998 with transaction ID 880108520. After the transaction, I was given one HDFC bank cheque number from the lady. The cheque number was 910450. I have recieved the mobile. During that time, I was informed that the cheque will be signed by her higher officials and I will recieve a cheque in 30 days (i.e. before 21st May). But, it has already been 3 months and till now I have not got any cheque. I am not sure if it was the fraud call.
And now, if I try to track this transaction details, by calling 011 40502424, I get an answer saying that the transaction ID which I have mentioned above is in the name of Mr. Vikrym Dala. I dont know how this has happened. The customer care executive assisted me to write a mail to this ID.
I request you to track this transaction and do the needful. I was not in a need of any mobile, but I have bought due to all the good experiences I had with India Today. But with this particular call, I have been cheated by ITBC.
I request you to track this transaction and write back the details. As I know, each call made by ITBC to its customers is recorded. With that, I am sure it is not difficult to trace back the call.
