Money debited from credit card and no refund is being provided by ITBC

We placed an order on 10 Dec with the India today book club (ITBC) call center through one of their adverts in Mail Today. ITBC took the credit card number while they took the order - promising speedy delivery of the parcel. Money was debited from our credit card the very next day. Inspite of ardent follow-ups ever since they failed to deliver the order. It took them 3 months to agree that it was ITBC who had debited the money from the credit card coz their name showed on the credit card statement. The order was then cancelled by us and we asked for the money to be refunded in Mar. Constant calls to their call center almost every week and continous mail exchanges with them (Jitendra Kumar Thakur and his colleague Justin Fernandes;Designation - Call Center Shift incharges) ever since have been FUTILE.I have never ever come across such a worthless organisation - My first and only experience with them!! They say, they have not been able to generate a reference number against my refund request for the last 6 months which is why the money has not been refunded. I am given false promises of 15 days of processing time every time i call them. Getting through to any other senior in the organisation seems impossible as they don't forward calls to them and in effect the senior management is completely shielded from the consumer. So God only knows what transpires in an organisation like India today Book Club. All i can say is that i'am doing the best possible follow-ups that one could perhaps do however the organisation that i am against is the most pathetic, inefficient and unprofessional that i've ever come across. They've really crossed the limits!!
