Cheque clearing

We have presented a cheque on 10thSep09 at SBI Siruthozil branch, Ambathur. Today 13th Sep09 still the cheque not cleared. We asked the branch manager he said it will take min.3 fullworking days. We wish to know what is the actual procedure for clearing and further wish to know whether the statement given by branch manager is correct or not? Because the other banks are taking maximum 2 days for clearing. If the situation is like that then it is very difficult to run our company. Your Bank Staffs are not co-operating to the customers and not responding properly. Your advertisement shows that your bank is world no.1 bank to serve the customer needs. We think it is merely a show only.
