Problem with 2 way tickets and arrogant employees of TNRDC

Hi All,

I am a daily user of OMR road right from Madhya Kailash to Sipcot since I work for TCS in Sipcot and I travel from T Nagar. I had a very bitter experience on 16th March. My company has a branch in Chennai One, Thoraipakkam and I had to go there and then to my usual place at Siruseri. I passed by the toll at Perungudi and got a return ticket (as usual) which is valid for travel upto Siruseri. But since I had to go to Chennai One, I took a right midway in OMR and crossed one of the satellite tolls and my ticket was stamped once. Remember when I mean I took a right, I am using a road not maintained by ITEL. So now, I had to return from Chennai One to Siruseri so again crossed to satellite toll and joined OMR and my ticket was stamped for the second time too. Then when I crossed the Navalur toll, the ticket was stamped for the third time. Everything went fine until now.

Evening when I returned back, the guy at the Navalur toll said the ticket is invalid since they allow only 3 stamps per ticket. But imagine, I got a return ticket and used the road only once, but the ticket is invalid. I tried to explain him that I have been crossing the satellite toll and so it was stamped (even the stamping said that it was stamped on a satellite toll). When this argument between us was going on smoothly another employee came and started to speak arrogantly. He was not bothered to hear whatever I said and started to use words of disrespect. When I asked him to give respect, he said he cannot. Damn! I switched off my engine and refused to move until I meet the manager or supervisor. Other two guys came from in and addressed the issue in a better way but still I had to buy a one way ticket.

Is there any solution for this? I buy a return ticket but I can use it only once. Also will ITEL take action to control their employees and teach them how to behave to the public. Since we all use the road laid by ITEL it does not mean that we are all servants to them. We shell out money from our pockets for whatever they do. Also ITEL should advise toll collectors to deal case by case for the benefit of the public.
