Non Receipt of Annuity Payment

From Kulti Branch under Asansol Division.

Dear Sir,

Myself & my wife purchased above two policies in our individual name and invested

2.5 lakh 2.0 lakh- Total 4.5lakh.in Jan ’08.

Our first pension installment was due on 08.01.09 and 28.01.09 respectively. But even after 3 months of the due date, we have not received our due cheques from L.I.C. Eastern Zonal Office: Individual Pension Plan Servicing Cell.

On enquiry, Kolkata Office sent e-mail to us, informing that,

“They have not received Annuity Master from the branch”.

When the branch was approached, we were told, they have sent it. The local branch also asked to submit “ Certificate of Existence “, though in the Annuity Intimation Letter it was clearly mentioned “Next Existence Certificate is due on Jan. However we did submit the Existence Certificate as asked.

We are surprised that within a year’s time the branch could not manage to send the so called “ANNUITY MASTER” to the Zonal Office!

Why we should go on loosing interest on the pension amount, without any fault of ours?

In this situation we find no other way than to approach you for necessary investigation, so that we can get our dues from LIC along with interest for the delayed payment, as because the delay is due to fault of L.I.C.
