Undue delay on settlement of matured policy

I am holding policy no 914947872 and which was matured on 1st Sep 2009. All the requisite documents are submitted to Goregaon east branch in the last week of August. One month is passed but till date I have not received proceeds. On my several visits and written complaints nothing satisfactory reply is given. I dont understand the reason for delay. Why LIC atitude is indiferent towards client and why I should suffer for their lapses. Now I will have no ulternative but to appraoch CONSUMER FORUM for justice.
