Non-payment of pension for last 2 years

Sub: Complaint against LIC of India towards non-payment of quarterly pensions against the IPP Policy No: 370813088 continuously for last few quarters.

I am having the above mentioned Individual Pension Policy No: 370813088 with the Life Insurance of India. It was being operated in Warora Branch of L.I.C., Distt:-Chandrapur, Maharashtra. The Annuity of the Policy had vested on 23/01. 25% of Notional Cash value had been received by the undersigned from Warora Branch and Option “F” had been opted for. Quarterly Pension had been started from 23/01 and on that basis; I had received some post-dated cheques from the concerned Authorities covering period up to January. Cheques were being deposited on my S/B A/c and were being regularized at par. But during June’07, I was transferred from W.C.L. to M.C.L. Sambalpur (i.e. at the above-mentioned address). Expecting better service from a nearer LIC office, I requested for the transfer of the Policy to Burla Branch, which is nearer to my present place of working. And ultimately, the above Policy was transferred to Burla Branch (Branch Code: -59 D), Distt. Sambalpur, which was under the jurisdiction of Eastern Zone, Kolkata. Due to my transfer to Sambalpur, Cheques bearing No.106259 dtd. 01/08 for Rs. 427.00 and 106261 dtd. 01/02 for Rs. 427.00 of State Bank of India, Dividend Warrant Division, Mumbai Main Branch could not be deposited in time. For this reason, those cheques had been sent to the Western Zonal Office of L.I.C. Mumbai along with my letter dtd. 19/11/07 for revalidation of the same. But, the Asstt. Secretary (I.P.P. Cell, WZ) had informed me that the above cheques had been sent to the Eastern Zone, Kolkata along with his letter no. WZO/ IPP Cell Dtd.2-1 for providing further services from Kolkata end.

Though I had written so many letters to the Western Zone of LIC for persuasion in this matter, but without any result. One of such letter is AKN/LIC-PS/07/295-97 dtd. 24/12 written to the authorities of Western Zone with copy to the Branch Manager, LIC Warora.

I had written so many letters to the Eastern Zone of LIC, Kolkata for early settlement of this issue. But no fruitful result came so far. Thereafter, I came to know that Burla Branch of LIC has come under the jurisdiction of East Central Zone, Patna. As such, several letters had been written to the East Central Zone, Patna also. In answer, patna had not replied any letter so far. Several E-mails had also been sent to the East Central Zone. But no answer had been received till date. At the most they could show any proof of their sending the cheques, if any, on my above-mentioned present address. The following installments are yet to be received:

So many letters had been written to different authorities of LIC. If required, copies can be made available to you. You are requested to please take up this matter at the appropriate level and arrange to pay the quarterly pension along with interest & compensation as pension cell of East central zone, Patna and Eastern zone, Kolkata have not bothered to even reply my letters, though about 1 year 9 months have been passed.

All the letters written to different Authorities, copies of the letters were given to local LIC Office at Burla and Sambalpur. As discussed with the Branch Manager, LIC, Burla, he had forwarded all the letters to the higher authorities for taking necessary action. But all in vain.

you are requested to kindly take up this matter with the appropriate authorities, so that I can get the dues with interest and compenasation.
