I took a health insurance policy (Lombard Gen 24 EMI) over the phone upon receiving the call from your representative in Chennai. I did not even receive any policy before I opted for cancellation in March. After a few days I got a call from Mumbai saying that there is a problem in the computer systems and so they asked an agency CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS located in Delhi to handle my request from whom I will receive a call. I did get a call and I was told that they will cancel the policy in another name and I was asked to tell a ficticious name—VINEETHA whose date of birth is 17-11-1956 upon prompting to get voice recording. I did so. I did not get any cancellation report After two or three months I started getting credit card statements showing my EMI. Since then I have spoken to your representatives several times explaining the situation and asking to cancel as this policy is ficticious and I do not know who this person Vineetha is for whom I am charged. I got the reply that the policy taken in Subrahmanyam’s name is cancelled and that the policy taken in Vineetha’s name exists. I explained that this is ficticious. Some of my complaint numbers are 2301081880 and 280408171. I even gave a written complaint to the Punjagutta branch in Hyderabad. All these failed to resolve the matter. I HAVE PARTLY PAID THE AMOUNT FEARING LEGAL PENALTY. I am also charged on two credit cards bearing the numbers 4076xxxxxxxx7014 and 4076xxxxxxxx7006 one for the principal amount and one for the interest. I do not have a card bearing the latter number as it was reported to be lost. The whole affair is in a very confusing state.
How come there is no verification of the identitites of the policy holder and in whose name the policy is taken? In my case I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY DOCUMENT .
I HOPE THE MATTER WILL NOW BE RESOLVED AT LEAST AT YOUR LEVEL AND I AM GIVEN CREDIT FOR THE PAYMENT I HAVE MADE.
