Women security in public buses

Today I had call from one of my friend (ladies). She was travelling from Yavatmal to Nagpur. She started travelling at 7.00 a.m. morning. One man came and sat on adjusant seat. After sometime he started giving problems (start misbehaving) to her. So she told bus conductor that she has problem and conductor should ask man to seat at some other place. So conductor told her I can not do like that and even from public no one came forward to help her. So from this incidence we know that how secure indian women is in public transport. What service public transport is giving us. When we say that in order to aviod pollution and to reduce fuel consumption use public transport, goverment should look into these issue, how safe public transport we have. Can some body answer this question
