SIGNAL NOT WORKING DIFFICULTY FOR PEDESTRIANS

Dear Sir,

The signal at Cement Road Junction has not been working for the past one month in two regards. The red signal over the top to stop passengers moving from meenambakkam towards kathipara does not glow. The second one is that the green signal for pedestrians who wish to cross the road is broken and damaged. This cumulatively makes pedestrians to run miserably for safety. It is very difficult for school going children to cross the junction to get thier bus on the opposite side.

Even though traffic constables are in duty to control traffic at this junction we are able to see them only around shelters nearby and they come into picture only when an accident occurs or at the time when thier supperiors pass by.

And also the time given for pedestrians to cross such a wide road is only less than 12 seconds which is very difficult for the children and old people.

May I have your kind attention in this regard and do the needful to prevent loss of life and help the public.
