Subject: Refund of excess – Electricity charges – requested. (Consumer No.

I have submitted two representatives and several reminders to the chengamanadu Electricity office in 2008 and then to the Executive Engineer KSEB, Kottarakara for the refund of the excess amount remitted by me due to the non-functioning / faulty function of the meter. (Note: The amount was paid in order to avoid disruption of electricity to my house for which action would have been very prompt). A copy of the same is enclosed for your ready reference.

I have also contacted the staff in the EE’S Office in person thrice and they have promised to take necessary action at the earliest.

When I recently contacted the chengamandu office, I was told that there is no possibility of getting back the amount since all the accounts have been closed.

In this connection, I would like to apprise your good self that I have given the representation before finalizing the accounts. It is an irony for me to know after a lapse of two years that I will not get back the amount on one pretext or another in spite of repeated follow ups and false promises.

Therefore, I request you to kindly take urgent action for the speedy disposal of my case without any further delay as we have entered year 2010.
