Billed for unused credit card

I applied for a life time free credit card two years back which i never swiped or used... I got a call a year back asking for payment of 4000 for a holiday package which they provide. I refused to take and told i dont want to avail the offer.

But now on 24th July i got a call from collection agencies telling that i have to pay 4000 interest = 8000 simply. When i ask them the details the Collection Manager Mr. Ganesh threatened me that he will take action if i dont settle the payment. He aslo said i have signed for this when they opted the application.(I am not at all aware of such offer that time and not intimated also)

Somebody please help me.. Bank people of ABN!!! Kindly take action on those who plays in between.
