Non payment of Interest on FD

Sub: Non Payment of Interest on Fixed Deposit for the past One Year-

FD No. CHE RQ00351N, Dt.15.03.03- Matured on 13.12.2004.

Repayment of the F.D. accrued interest.- Requested

I had deposited a sum of 25, 000/- with your company as fixed deposit @ 10% interest for 2 years from 13.12.2002 to 12.12.2004. Ever since I deposited the FD, I did not get even single interest till date. I surrendered my deposit receipt on maturity for repayment vide my letter dated 23.11.2004.

As per the company law board orders you are expected to refund me back the full amount or in 4 installments starting from 13.12.2005. You had sent the entire principle amount of Rs.25, 000/-back as on today. However, the interest amount payable has not been paid back to me. But as per Company law board directions you have to pay the interest accrued all along, together with the last installment. But the same has not been paid till date leading to contempt of court. I am giving the worksheet (as per the enclosure) indicating the amount of interest liable to be paid to me. The amount liable to be paid works out to be Rs.9984/-

Hence an amount of Rs.9984/- is due by way of interest is required to be paid by the Company immediately as it is already over due.. I had already sent 2 Mails in this regard which has evoked no response. Hence I am lodging my dues by this registered letter. In case no reply is forthcoming from you for this I will be constrained to take up the matter with the Govt., /Company law board for final orders and with costs.

An early action in this regard is requested.
