Punished for breaking a faulty signal

I was traveling on my motorcycle, when i reached AArey Junction Traffic signal just when i was about to cross the signal the signal went from green to direct red. It is supposed to show slowdown signal rather than direct red. It was impossible to break, and stop immidietely, I could have got cleaned up by a vehicle behind me. i was stopped by the traffic police, and was asked to pay the fine which I refused, I told them that the signal is faulty, and showed it to the traffic police authority. Still he asked me to pay the fine or submitt the license and come to courte.

I have a video of that faulty signal, which I shot infront of the police authority, before submitting my license to the authority. Can I produce this video in court and show how in-appropriately the situation is handeled by our traffic department?
