Non issue of debit card

Dear sir,

My mother is a family pensioner and drawing family pension from State Bank of India/Baduria Branch. We approached to Branch Manager/Baduria for issue a debit card in favour of my mother. Branch Manager stated that such debit card would not be issued to a pensioner. It is important to mention that my mother-in-law is also drawing family pensoin from state Bank of India/ Dalhausie Square Brance/Kolkata and Debit Card has been issued in favour of my mother-in-law. Age of my mother is more than 75 years of age and it is very much difficult for her to attend personally for pension in a branch which is situated more than 40 Kms from her residence. I would request bank authority for issuing debit card in favour of my mother, if such provision exists. Detail will be intimated on receipt of reply.
