Nokia-1209
Invalid IMEI

Hello Nokia,

I purchased Nokia1209 Mobile on 2-Nov-09 through Poorvika mobile. On 15-Nov-09 Reliance Communication BHARATHI AIRTEL contacted me

telling that my IMEI number is invalid and if i don't

register my IMEI number with 200 INR to a govt agency

all the services would be withdrawn from my handset

Here comes two questions

[1] IMEI registration and headache is NOKIA's responsibility

and customer is only suppose to use it isn't it?

[2] Why should i register your IMEI number for which i paid

for your product which inc all the IMEI stuff?
