Nokia Faild to provide Service within warranty period

Hi,
Recently I Bought NOKIA 2505 . within 2 months the mobile was not able to switch on and off. the display keeps blinking and gives only white display.
I gave it to NOKIA Care, Marathalli, Bangalore, India within 3 months of purchasing . they sent it to Chennai .and after 20 days when I called them they said they could not Repair it and I can take it back. in even worse condition.
Is this fair? I did not have such a bad expectation from sucha renowned company.
