Nokia 5800 xpressmusic
Faulty Phone

I own nokia 5800 which keeps crashing, battery gets heated up during usage. The company gave a replacement for the phone which is refurbished. I have had the phone for three months now out of which 2 months the phone was not usable as it has gone for servicing or replacements. Have visited Nokia care about 18 times since purchase date- including today when it was taken for 24 hr observation. The softwares are updated and despite all the efforts to keep phone intact i have issues and nokia takes the phone but does nothing about it. for a phone which cost me Rs.16800/- is now valued at Rs.13000/- i get a refurbished phone. the nokia care helpline refuses to let me talk to the managers. courtesy is a term that they do not seem to know. the agony of having to organize spare handsets after having made an investment in a smart phone only makes me regret it even more. have nearly burnt my hand while battery got heated up and have lost on a lot of information due to this incessant repair work. the only good that nokia does is- they promise to replace the handset- but with a refurbished one for one that is used for a maximum of 10 days since purchase??? is there any solution at all to this issue. I have been informed the phone (5800) is stopping manufacture process but in that case is it not the responsibility of the company to give us our moneys worth with a phone that does not have such issues???

the money i have spent over the phone since it has emotional values (was gifted by my mother- the only reason to pursue with this so long), could have probably been used in other businesses or activities during this crunch recession time.

Nokia only wants to portray itself as a concerned company by saying that they want to sort out issues and help its customers. But the truth is that they dont care unless you are well connected. the advertisement they gave about the chargers of 7210 is mentioned that they have had no complaints, whereas the truth is- I also have the 7210 purchased alongwith the 5800 and the top just popped out and they refused to do anything about it saying it is not part of the exchange series number.

Is There absolutely no end to my agony in my experience with Nokia. forget compensation for all that i have been put through. atleast a solution to this problem is most desperately needed.
