Sir,
I gave my handset Nokia 2255 for repairing a display problem on 20th May to the Nokia Care Centre, M/s Foneworld, Borivali West, Mumbai. It was returned to me on 28th May after paying Rs 929/- towards repair cost. However, only two days later, I encountered the same display problem again. I gave the handset back to M/s Foneworld for rectifying the problem on 1st June. It was again returned to me on 8th June. Unfortunately I was facing the same problem from the next day itself. I went back to the Nokia Care Centre (M/s Foneworld) on 9th June and gave back the handset to them, now the third time in three weeks, for the very same display problem for which I had already paid them Rs 929/-. I was told that I would receive a call when the handset is repaired, however they did not call me for more than a month and whenever I called them I was told that the handset was not yet ready. So I went to the Nokia Care centre personally on 29th July and to my surprise I was offered a different old handset, which I refused to accept. Then I was informed that my handset was lost by them (M/s Foneworld, the Nokia Care centre). I went to them seeking a compensation which they plainly refused and forced me to accept the other old handset.
The Nokia Care Centre Ms Foneworld have even refused to give me an acknowledgement of this complaint letter. This leaves me no other option but approach the Consumer Forum.
I seek compensation for the loss of my Nokia handset 2255, for the mental agony and stress caused to me for more than two months, because of the inefficiency of Nokia Care Centre M/s Foneworld, Borivali (W), Mumbai.
Yours truly
D.M. Kenjale,
Borivali, Mumbai.
P.S.: The handset was purchased from M/s DRIVEINDIA.COM, an authorised dealer, on 15th Dec.
