Denied free service in warranty period

I am an aggrieved consumer, who feels cheated by Nokia. I bought a Nokia E63 (359319024323561) from Mobile Store in Select City Walk Mall (customer number 213202734) on May 31 at 19:55 hours. Just two months after the purchase, my new handset, which cost me Rs 12, 419, developed snag. While talking on the mobile, the person at the other end of the call could not hear my voice. When I approached the Nokia Care centre at Malviya Nagar, the engineers there told me that i have to pay Rs 2, 250 to get it repaired. This despite the fact that the mobile is in waranty period. The engineers at the Nokia Care centre told me that liquid was logged inside the handset and therefore, the mobile won't be covered under the waranty period.
Being ignorant of technical aspects of it, I can in no way know if at all there was any liquid inside my handset. I feel its a good excuse from Nokia to evade free services to customers. I strongly feel that Nokia and Mobile Store has taken me for a ride.
