Tracking of my moblie

Hi its a real tragedy that my 15day phone got stole from my car on a signal. I have even lost a police complaint for the same n they have asked me to contact Nokia n ask them to track my phone with the IMEI no which is 354855022635394.the cops told me that Nokia will be able to track my phone if somebody puts their sim in my phone n i will get a msg frm nokia if i give the cell no who is using my cell phone if i register my current cell no. But when i called customer care i get a response that nothing can be done abt it. i ave invested 20k on this phone which is not a small amount. Why do youll give an IMEI no when it cannot serve any purpose.. Sorry to say that iam v dissapointed to know that the company which i have been loyal to since my first phone has dissapointed me this way.. Is there anyway that something can be done cause i still keep a little hope being a Nokia fan
