Sir,

I have the following to address for your kind attention and suitable favourable action. I had submitted my request in the month of June 09 (copy enclosed) seeking your assistance towards rectification / replacement of my mobile handset purchased on the 6TH of Jun at a cost of Rs 9700/- with specifications as under mentioned:-

2. I am sorry to convey that in spite of my humble request no action on the grievance represented has been taken to-date. A company of this stature should not have a problem in handling such a redress of grievance. It makes one feel sorry for having gone for the brand wagon of Nokia and made this purchase. I would like to mention here that I am a first class gazetted officer of the Indian Navy and I do have a grievance to be attended to and sincerely believe that a solution can be derived if taken in the right spirit and rightly attended to.

3. This model had been working fine, but the stainless steel cover that is provided on the face of the handset has got disjointed/ dislodged of its adhesive joint from the frame of the mobile. Without this metallic cover frame, the components like the screen, the key pads etc are all exposed, unguarded and are vulnerable to damages/getting detached. Additionally the aesthetics do not allow the set to be used without this metallic frame. I have addressed the problem twice to Nokia Care and got the defect temporarily rectified but the adhesive just doesn’t hold. I am made to understand by the Nokia Care people that this happens to be an inbuilt/ inherent problem in this set and this also happens to be a common problem and cannot be resolved.

In view of the foregoing, I as a customer at the receiving end would request you to replace this handset or if the problem is of a known and re-occurant nature, I will further request you to upgrade this set within the cost range or I can also pay the difference in amount. I am sure with a company of your fame, repute and profile will be able to entertain my humble request. One handset for your grandeur stature is nothing but it does pinch an individual as a customer. I would thereby solicit you to forward your directions/ orders under intimation and do look forward to an early and favourable action on this.
