Nokia care refused to repair 1 month old phone in Warranty

I had purcahsed a nokia handset (E-61 i) Imei #, 351878010553455 from Time Emporium through bill no. TM2K67..M5986. on 26 march, 08 The handset stopped working on 2 may, 08 and was handed over to Nokia care Noida-Add-A78, Sect-2, Noida, (UP) 201301. the engineer stated that water had entered the machine and the Cost of repair would be Rs. 1000 inspite of it being in warranty which i failed to understand. On reaching NOKIA care on 6 May, 08 i was refused the repaired phone stating that the phone is not repairable.

I had spent rs.16000 for the machine.

Pls do something about it failing which i would have to take a legal step against Nokia.
