Dear Sir,
I have purchased Nokia N-70 (IMEI-356294014928930) from S.R. Collection, Meerut (UP) in Aug. Since then I am facing problem, while using the set. Whenever I used to make calls from my cell it starts opening other options such as contacts, gallery, speaker etc. I took my cell to the shop where I had purchased it he asked me to carry it to. The same day I went to Nokia Care Centre (Begum Pul, Meerut) and they returned me my cell same time, I don’t know what they did with my Cell. After a week I went to Noida, as I got a job there. The problem of my cell starts continuing there also. I again went to the shop from where I purchased my cell he again refused to help me and send me to Nokia Care centre. They again did something and gave me my Cell same time. Since 2007 when I purchased my cell I am suffering from grievances being cause to me by Nokia care centre. As usual today, i.e. 09/09/09, I went to Nextel (Authorised Nokia Care Centre, Meerut I told them my grievances that my cell is not working properly it is opening other option while I make a call, they told me that we have to check the phone and we will tell you what is the original problem is. I asked them whether they take charges for that or not, they told me that there is no charge for checking. They took my cell and checked it and told me that the software of my cell has to reinstall as it is not working. I asked them is it due to my carelessness and even told them that it creating problem since I have purchased it from shopkeeper, even I told them that I have went to Nokia Care Centre several time for the same problem, but they have not rectified the problem in my Cell. They told me that this is not of because of you, some cell creates problem due to software. I asked from them about the estimate. They told me that “your cell is out of warranty hence now you have to pay the bill”. I asked them to return my Cell and told them I will take it to the shop from where I have purchased the Cell. They asked me to pay Rs. 100/- against estimation charges. I refused to pay and said “When I have asked to you, you told me that there are no charges for checking, then why you are taking Rs. 100/- from me”. They told me that whenever you come to us for the same problem we will deduct the charges took from you for checking. Now my mobile is showing only white screen nothing is appearing on the screen, but its making calls and I am able to receive the calls. But without screen display I am unable to see anything.
I just want to know what my fault is. I have purchased Nokia N-70 because Nokia is a big brand and famous for its quality. Why the Nokia care centre has not rectify my problem genuinely so that I should not suffer from grievances as I am suffering from past 2 years. Please let me known can I go to Consumer Court against Nokia, Nokia Care Centre and the shopkeeper from whom I purchased the Cell. Niranjan Singh
