Panel defect

I bought a Nokia N 76 mobile phone in June. After afew months of usage I found that the panel coating was peeling off in places. I went the stopre where i had bought the set, where I wsa adviced that this was a regular complaint with Nokia N 76 and th epanel would be replaced free of cost. I was asked to go to Nokia service centre. When I went there I was told that the panel was not in stock and I wsa asked to come back later. This went on for almost six months. Just afew days back my mobile phone fell and there was acrack on the front glass pane. Today when I learnt that panel stock was available in their service centre, I went there for replacement. I was told there that since there waqs acrack in glass pane warranty has ceased and even the panel wont be replaced now since it is one single set. tried to explain to them that peeling off of panel paint/coat wsa happenning much before the mobile fell and the glass was damaged, but to no avail. Now fror no fault of mine, having paid Rs. 20, 000 for the handset I have to buy the entire panel.
