Nokia N95, 1GB

I had purchased nokia mobile N95, 1GB from BOOLCHANDS store San Martean (Netherlands) in 600US$ to give it as a gift to my brother in INDIA. At the time of purchasing the mobile Iwas told by the salesman that the it can be repaired in india in any nokia care center if it got any problem. But when I inquire about it in nokia care center in INDIA they said that there is no such facility with them it can be repaired at the same place where it was bought. I had send a mail for the same to BOOLCHANDS center but I didnt got any reply. And the handset get big problem of hanging. Please say me that what should I do now.
