Mis management in train Lohit Express on 11/05

Railway Authorities,

Northen Railways.

I would like to bring to your kind notice following incident occured

on 11th May in context to Lohit Express.

I have booked my tkts from Jammu to Roorkee.

1. Train departure time from Jammu Tavi is 22.45 hrs.

2. Train arrived at platform no 3 at 22.41 hrs.

3. Doors were locked.

4. No lights.

5. At 22.45 announcements were made to occupy the seat as train is

ready to leave.

6. Passengers opened the emergency window & opened the door.

7. Passengers jumped into the coaches in front of them.

8. Lights were switced on by 22.50 hrs.

9. Person marked coach number by choke by 22.50.

10. We moved our luggage to S9. As the numbers were not mentioned. Our

coach was S 4.

11. I immediately rushed to S4 along with my daughter & 2 bags.

12. Next time I moved with bags & my wife.

13. Train started moving by 22.55 hrs.

14. We jumped into moving coach no S 7.

15. We started moving from coach & reached S 5.

16.After this coach there was pantry.

17. Pantry people refused to open the door.

18. I requested DY TT for help.

19. He made a call & told all the passengers that the shutter will open soon.

20.After one hour Khatu station came & halt is for 2 minutes.

21. I got down & requested pantry people to open the shutter. They

opened the shutter for 10 minutes only.

22. When we reached our berth it was already occupied by unreserved passengers.

23. There was no water in the coach.

Sir, my request is that strong action should be taken against water

department, people responsible for putting coach number, list & pantry

people.
