SUB: Demurrage charges being imposed on hourly basis – No Maximum limit is being informed for the same in written by the officials.

Sir,

In the above subject, it is to inform that I sent a Motorcycle from Chandigarh on 1st of December. I enquired in the Jaipur Parcel office on 4th December, if my vehicle was reached and I was asked to wait for 2-3 days.

2. Due to un-avoidable circumstances, I couldn’t pick my motorcycle from jaipur before 15th of December.

3. When visited the Railway Parcel office, Jaipur on 15th of December – Penalty which is being imposed on me was informed as 10 Rs. Per hour which was illegal as it was not given to me in written when asked. The total charge which was being imposed on me is Rs. 2200/- approx.

You are requested to please interfere in the matter and order the concerned authority to let me know the charges on daily basis and also the maximum limit of the same so that I may get my vehicle.
