Delayed Claim

After to-and -fro finally the UTI accepted the claim forms for my father who was undergoing chemo therapy on 09/09. When follow up was done after a month it was told after 20 days which became 3 months. Post that it was told that we should follow up with NSC, this was on 12/12/08 . Where the person incharge took 2 weeks to tell us they received the claim from UTI only in the first week of December. The officer then says it will take another month or two to get the cheque as they have lots of such claims. The claim amount is of 3 () lakhs.

In the meanwhile what should one do for further treatment?
