Non receipt of PAN Card

Sub: PAN No. AEGPB7483N

I had applied for PAN and allocated the number as above. But I did not receive the PAN card in its physical form. I had applied for the same while I was in Kolkata. In the meanwhile I had been transferred twice - 1st to Dehradun and 2nd (presently) Mumbai. It is over 8 years - I had written a number times to Kolkata IT office at Bamboo Villa, APC Road, Kolkata-700 017. I had even talked to the UTI Service Provider, I am yet awaiting the PAN in its physical form. It's an essential document - every individual is required to produce it to a no. of palces/ person in one's stride through the path of life. I believe that the Kolkata IT Department must have mailed it to my Kolkata Address and it must have the returned as I no more continue to stay in Kolkata. I still continue to hope - being too optimistic - for a duplicate card!!
