Delay In Receving Passport

We people of 7 submitted at a time for new passports at Lucknow on 10/9. We are from I.I.T.Kanpur. Out of seven 4 received there passports long back, but we 3 didnot receive our passports. This following message "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time" is being displayed in the website when I check the status enquiry.

What should we have to do, in this regard? and when can I receive my passport?
