Illegal Ticket Sales using Smart Card

Hi,

This is to inform that a huge number of Illegal Tickets are sold through Smart Card. Which is creating a loss to the Railways. In Smart Card for every Rs. 100 spent Railways is giving Rs 5 as Bonus Points to encourage the sales of the Smart Card. But the Station authorities are misusing this facilty by allowing people to sell tickets through the Smart Card. In Perambur Railway Station the Station Manager, CBSR have appointed illegal persons to sell Local Tickets Through Smart Card. They are recharging the Smart Cards to the tune Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10000 per day. Even if we take minimum Rs. 5000 also. Railways is losing Rs. 250 per day and this is a daily routine. If calculate for 1 month Rs. 7500 loss for the railways.

Hindrance to Passengers - I am a smart card holder. Most of the times when I go to the station to take tickets through the smart card both the machines are occupied by the Unauthorised Ticket Sales. One day I was forced to stand in line eventhough I had the smart card since there was a queue standing for Smart Card Tickets. The Station Manager and CBSR are encouraging this activity and providing full support to these illegal persons by taking bribe from them.

The irony is recently 2 school students are doing this activity after their school hours.

Suggestion: Railways can restrict no. of Tickets per day for each Smart Card and the amount of recharge done per day.

Request you to look in to this and avoid furhter loss to the Railways and Hardship to the passengers.
