Fake Currency

I have purchased a Mosquito Destroyer Electronic Racket from Popular stores whose Addressis as follows:

Popular Stores, Kalina, Santacruz (E), Mumbai 400 098.

The cost for the equipment was Rs 150, I gave the shopkeeper Rupees 200 and he refunded me Rs 50 which was fake.

I came to know about the reality of the note the day after when I purchased vegetables and the the shopkeeper returned me that note stating that it was fake.

When I demanded the owner of the Popular stores to provide me with proper replacement for that fake currency, he denied stating that no such product has been bought from his store and they have not provided me that money.

Further more after a lot of debate some of the workers of the store started examining the currency and said " It is not fake and can be used anywhere"

I therefore request you to guide me for further procedure.

Hope I will get a proper redressal.
