Non activation of connection

On 8th May 09 I lost my cell phone while travelling in a bus. To avoid misuse, immediately I intimated the Air Tel to block the SIM. Same day I bought a new phone and got a new SIM with the same number issued by the Air Tel with a promise of reactivation of my number within 4 hours. Since Saturday I am interacting with customer care executives who promptly giving several falls promises of activation without any result. Nearly 5 days have gone and no result. The customer care standard of the Air Tel is far below the standard and I wonder what kind of professional organisation they are?
