GPRS ACTIVATION FAILURE

I have buy airtel life time prepaid simcard. My mobile no.is 09766970074 & handset no.is nokia 6500 slide.from 6-07-08 I am continiously sending message for GPRS ACTIVATION & SETTINGS.Though i have received settings i am not able to get gprs activated. I am sending sms GPRSACT to 511 three to four times a day after 4hrs.&calling continiously to customare care people who were sitting in pune but every time i get the reply that send sms now you will get gprs activated but nothing happens. The useless fellows not able to solve my problem & also not able to guide me.please tell me what shall I do to get gprs activated.
