Cancellation of my numbe

Hi Everyone I'm facing a weird problem with Airtel. This is the first time i'm having a hard time with Airtel in the past 6 years of service with them. I was using my airtel number in Canada for the past one year. I sold my old pocket pc so that I didn't have a phone to put the Airtel Sim as my iPhone doesnt accept any other sim except Roger's Canada network. The weird part starts here my sim was not active for a month. I'm having a validity till Feb but now the connection and number is already given to another person. This is weirdest. I want my number back this has been such an important number to me. Please help me out in this. To add I had a balance of 1000bucks nearly
