House UPS - APC 800 VA

Dear Sir,

I am faculty in National Institute of Technology - Karnataka, India.

I own APC UPS - 800 VA (HI800SQ) in my residence since four years. I never had complaint till the warranty period. Since two years the APC product made me to virtually cry!!

I had purchased it from M/S Partek Computer Solutions in Mangalore, India. He refused to offer me any services when the UPS went unserviceable, two years back. Ultimately I chose to have chat with APC customer care. I met Mr. Balasubramanian Muthukesavan, who changed the service provider as Megha Enterprises in Mangalore. Meanwhile I have entered into an extended warranty, last year.

Now since two months again I have problem with APC as well as battery. Since 19.3. I have been tossed here and there by APC customer care (Mr. Balasubramanian Muthukesavan). Never giving an amicable solution to the real problem with my home UPS. Many a times I have registered the complaint. The issue is getting dragged.

They say its the problem with the battery. And APC have no concern if the problem is with battery.

Please tell me, what's the fun of having UPS without battery?

Once Mr. Balasubramanian says, he will take care of the issue and send personal to get the battery replaced on paid basis, to which I have sent my consent. Immediately in the next mail he says me to contact local battery vendor and get my battery changed, on my own.

Sir, please help me. I am disgusted. And I deeply regret and curse myself for having chosen APC.

The customer care is spoiling the name and fame of the esteemed American Power Conversion, which people rate very high as far as customer care and after sales services are concerned.

Kindly help me.
