Mal functioning

I bought an APC UPS 3 months back but the day i bought it, it was working well and it worked well for next couple of days. but suddenly it started giving me problems, it wasn't giving backup to my pc for a single second. when i complained about it in the service center they asked me to bring the UPS to them and god knows what they did and told me that its fine now. but when i came back home and checked the UPS it was giving me the same problem...
