Hindustan Times Subscription coupons not received and payment taken for the same

Sub: Subscription for HT (Rs.199 offer) not received and facing too many issues with HT's customer service people.

With sheer disappointment I’m writing in. I filled in a form for HT Rs.199 subscription on 24th Dec’09 and gave the form to Gulab Singh.(Form no.632840) along with a cheque of Rs.199 which got cleared frm my a/c on 13th Jan'10.

On repeated follow ups I was told my coupon has been returned due to incomplete address. On discussing it further with HT's executives we found out that the person who had done the data entry at their end missed out on writing the ‘H wing’ in the address while system updation.

The executive who spoke to me assured me that within next 10 days someone will call me and personally come and hand over the coupons to me. That never happened and I called again and spoke to an executive called Jyoti who said within next 4 days someone will come and deliver the coupons. On 2nd & 3rd Feb I spoke to this girl again who said if I have too much trouble I should write in at subscription@hindustantimes.com. I even wrote this complaint there and nobody has even bothered replying!

Are these ways to harress customers or what is it?

On the other end when I followed up with Gulab Singh, he said he has left the job. He gave me the no.of some Kamlesh who he reported to who asked me to call up some other executive & just refused any help!

I’m thoroughly disappointed and hope and expect someone to change my thinking for HINDUSTAN TIMES.

I need to know when or whether I'll ever get my coupons or have they taken my money only to trouble me like they are troubling many others by not sending the coupons!

Please help.
