Stopping ECS Paymenty

I live in Kolkata. My telephone number is (033) 24243851. From I havebeen paying my Calcutta Telephones telephone bill by ECS. This was till last month. Suddenly this month it has been stopped, and I had to go to Jadavpur Telephone Exchange to pay my bill, which I received yesterday and the last date ofwhich was 5th January. I am a Senior Citizen (72 years old) and I have recently undergone a bypass surgery. For me ECS is a boon since it is very difficult for me to go to the Telephone Exchange or Post Office every other month just to pay my bill. Can ECS be restored in my case? If not, can I get to pay my bill by ECS again? If so, how? I will be obliged to you for your help. Dr. Bikash Bhadury.
