No Action against Theft at Home

Dear Sir,

I, Mr. G.G.Chatterjee a citizen of India (71 years old) residing in Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi (full address mentioned below). I have retired from Ministry of Railway. In the month of July (4th July) there was a theft in our house, all our gold ornaments and cash from Two lockers has been theft between 1.15 PM -2.15PM hr.(AFTERNOON)

I lodged an FIR in Sarojini Nagar Police station (FIR No. 178 enclosing the same for your ready reference) SHO Mr. A.S Rawat, Inspector Mr. Mukesh and Head Constable Mr. Dinesh Tiwari took our case and visited our home the day theft happened. We have provided all the information which Police wanted from us. One person came from finger print expert but spent only 5-10 minutes and left the place without any result.

I clearly told every official in Sarojini Nagar Police Station that we have doubt on our maid who left job without notice period 4 days before the theft at our home, we also requested police to do cross question to our neighbors’ as houses are attached to each other in our apartment but till now no action was taken and not even they visited my residence then after.

Even after more than 3 months Police has not been able to take any concrete actions/response in spite of my several visit in Sarojini Nagar Police Station. The question is to what extent our police can go and what faith people will have to them. I am not able to know why a mere thief is not caught by the cops where more than 3 months has been passed and I am continuously reminding Mr. A.S Rawat about my assets, but no satisfactory answer was given. I still trust on our state's security system.

I’m confident that if our investigating officers are willing to resolve the case they can do it, so it’s a humble request please do something as we belongs to a middle class family and it’s around a loss of 10-12 Lacs.

I would request you to give a strong instruction to investigating officers in Sarojini Nagar Police station and help nab the culprit.
