I'm resident of H. No. 9253, Street No. 5, Pahar Ganj, Multani Danda, New Delhi-110055. We are facing acute water shortage in our area since long specifically in few houses of the street ending towards Sadar Thana Road i.e. towards end of the water distribution line in the area.
This fact has been brought to the notice of concerned officials of Delhi Jal Board as well as the M.L.A. of our area many times but no action has been taken on the same as the problem still continues even increasing day by bay.
As per the web site of Delhi Jal Board the time of water supply in our area is mentioned as 5.30 A.M. to 6.30 A.M. but in fact we receive water supply in our area (specially the houses referred above) for about 5 to 10 minutes only and that too the dirty water.
We are constrained to buy water from outside. We have to spend approx. Rs. 70/- per day for drinking water and Rs. 150 per day for the water being used for other purposes.
This is despite the fact that during these days we are hearing in news that the water level in Yamuna is increasing on daily basis.
It appears that a water mafia is prevailing in our area, which is forcing us to buy water from outside.
This is a very serious issue and needs to be address urgently.
